MAKING THE RAGAZZI
Each RAGAZZI starts with chaos – hundreds of images, textures and possibilities. Then comes the hunt. Hours of cutting, arranging, combining and discarding. Most combinations go nowhere. But then – without warning – two fragments align. A colour catches light. An expression shifts the mood. Suddenly, the character is alive. Each piece takes days, sometimes weeks. The process can't be rushed. When a RAGAZZI is finished, only then is it numbered, named and joins the collective.
